Blind Me
Blind Me
Blind Me is a ceramic tile which at the same time hides and reveals a message. By using the Braille system, the two dimensional text is turned into a beautiful three dimensional image. Blind Me is a love story inspired by pulp fiction literature. Romantic novels are widely read but still people rarely admit doing so. These harmless, silly stories are surrounded by secrecy. When written in Braille system the secrecy still exists for the majority of people. Amazingly simple and flat text is in its other form a three dimensional, functional and aesthetic object. The Braille system writing on the tile works for both senses; touch and vision.

The texts of the tiles:

Deborah + Jake

"I'll be glad to share the bedroom with you, chère." Jake smiled.
Debbie had never seen such a smile in her entire life. It lit an irresistible glow to the man's face and made her realise how the man's white teeth gleamed as an opposite against the stubble that was shadowing his sturdy chin.
